Description and Pictures of White Pine

The White Pine is the most popular variety of Christmas tree in western Virginia. It grows well in this area and grows to the proper height in six to eight years. It is has soft, long needles that are a mixture of light green and white in color. The branches do not hold heavy ornaments as well as the firs, spruces, and Scotch Pine. White Pine keep their needles for a good length of time after cutting. They are available pre-cut from the display on the lot or you can choose-and-cut your tree from a selection of several hundred in the field.
